Wow - when are we going to f-in wake up? Outrage is really not a strong enough word for this as the gambler's Wall Street roller coaster continues. I have been subjected to much criticism during my career and on an almost daily basis accused of allowing my emotions to show (god forbid, right?) And we can't rely on statistics? We have to calm the markets' nerves? The masters of the universe are afraid...and worried? Are you kidding me?
"If it's not a recession, it sure feels like one. And if it feels like one, it doesn't matter if you can prove it with statistics or not," said John Hailer, president and CEO of Natixis Global Asset Management in the U.S. and Asia. "We have some real tough problems in front of us, and we really need some leadership in corporate America and Washington....There's a lot of nervousness in the market."
Here's what we need: any company making a good profit needs to hire more workers. Invest in people and give your existing people a break. No more worries.
